Civil Defense urges public to act immediately on emergency warning alerts

RIYADH — The General Directorate of Civil Defense urged the public to adhere to the instructions and guidelines issued upon receiving warning messages during emergencies through the National Early Warning Platform.These guidelines include remaining calm, following official directions, and immediately proceeding to the nearest safe location within the building, preferably an interior room away from windows, until the danger has passed. The directorate also called on the public to stay indoors and avoid leaving their homes or buildings until the situation is declared safe.The guidelines also include staying away from open areas and glass premises, and refraining from standing on balconies or rooftops.
