Israel launches largest coordinated strikes in Lebanon, hits 100 sites in 10 minutes

BEIRUT — The Israeli army said Wednesday it carried out its largest coordinated wave of strikes in Lebanon since the start of its current offensive, hitting more than 100 sites “within 10 minutes.”In a military statement, Israel said the attacks targeted sites linked to Hezbollah across multiple areas, including Beirut, the Beqaa Valley, and southern Lebanon.The army alleged that the targets included command-and-control centers and infrastructure used to launch attacks against Israeli positions.There was no immediate comment from Hezbollah on the Israeli claims.The strikes came just hours after the United States and Iran announced a two-week truce on Tuesday aimed at paving the way for a broader agreement to end the war launched by Washington and Tel Aviv against Tehran on Feb. 28.Pakistani mediators said the truce includes Lebanon, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it does not.
