MAKKAH — Hajj Security Forces arrested an Egyptian resident for transporting a visa holder in violation of Hajj regulations and attempting to facilitate his entry into Makkah. Both individuals were referred to the competent authority for the imposition of prescribed penalties.The Ministry of Interior earlier warned that maximum fines of up to SR100,000 will be imposed on anyone transporting holders of any type of visit visa into Makkah and holy sites during the period from Dhul Qada 1 (April 19) to Dhul Hijjah 14 (May 31). A maximum fine of SR20,000 will be imposed on individuals caught performing or attempting to perform Hajj without a permit.
