Passports Directorate takes 12,371 decisions to impose penalties on violators in a month

RIYADH — The General Directorate of Passports has taken several punitive measures against citizens and expatriates found in violation of residency, labor, and border security regulations over the course of one month.The Directorate, through the administrative committees in various regional passport offices, issued 12,371 administrative decisions during the last Hijri month of Dhul Hijjah against offenders. The penalties imposed included imprisonment, fines, and deportation of foreign residents.The Directorate has urged all citizens and residents, including business owners and individuals, not to transport, employ, or shelter violators of residency, labor, and border security laws, nor to conceal them or provide any form of assistance in securing employment, housing, or transportation.It further called for cooperation in reporting violators of residency, labor, and border security laws by contacting 911 in the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province regions, and 999 in the remaining regions of the Kingdom.
