Iraq vows not to allow attacks on Saudi Arabia from its territory

RIYADH — Iraq has reaffirmed its commitment not to allow its territory or airspace to be used as a launch point for any attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, or other countries in the region.The commitment came during a meeting on Sunday in Saudi Arabia between Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, attended by senior officials from both countries.The ministers reviewed the close ties between Saudi Arabia and Iraq and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation across various fields.
