NCM warns of high winds, dust storms across Kingdom through Saturday

RIYADH — The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has forecast high winds that will stir up dust and sand in most regions of the Kingdom beginning Thursday and continuing through Saturday. The forecast is based on outputs from the Saudi numerical weather model, with the NCM releasing an animated map illustrating the expected movement and frequency of dust/sand and high waves during the period. According to the forecast, activity of fast winds that stir up dust and sands — accompanied by high waves in coastal areas — is expected during the daytime across the Tabuk, Madinah, Makkah, and Jazan regions. The high winds expected to extend on Saturday include Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, and Hail. The NCM forecast that only certain parts of Qassim, Riyadh, the Eastern Province, and Najran would be affected.RIYADH — The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has forecast high winds that will stir up dust and sand in most regions of the Kingdom beginning Thursday and continuing through Saturday.
