MAKKAH — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced on Wednesday the start of the Hajj package booking phase for domestic pilgrims, including Saudis and expatriates with a valid residency permit. Those citizens and expatriates, who registered their data during the first phase can now select and book packages via the Nusuk application or website, with payments processed through the SADAD system. Earlier on Feb. 23 (Ramadan 6), the ministry commenced the data registration phase for domestic pilgrims. The ministry explained that applicants can go through the packages, opt the most suitable package among them, issue a booking invoice, and then make the payment via the “SADAD” system. This is part of a comprehensive digital process aimed at organizing seating and ensuring equitable access to opportunities. The ministry clarified that the payment deadline after booking the package is 72 hours and this deadline will be valid until Dhul Qada 27, corresponding to May 14, and then the deadline for payment will be reduced to only 6 hours starting from May 15. This is to ensure the opportunity for booking for the largest possible number of beneficiaries. Bookings will be automatically canceled if payment is not received within the specified deadline. While cancellations are permitted without deduction before permit issuance until Shawal 30, 1447 AH, specific refund policies and deductions apply thereafter, with no refunds granted for cancellations made from Dhu Al-Hijjah 1, 1447 AH, until the platform closes. The ministry also indicated that requests for the cancellation of booking will be processed according to the approved cancellation policy. Cancellations are permitted before the permit is issued and up to Shawwal 30, corresponding to April 18, without any deductions. Deductions will be applied after the permit is issued, based on the cancellation request date. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made from Dhul Hijjah 1, corresponding to May 18, until the platform closes. The ministry urged those wishing to perform Hajj within Saudi Arabia to promptly book their packages and complete payment within the specified timeframe.
