Saudi Arabia named guest of honor at 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade

BEIJING — Saudi Arabia will participate as guest of honor at the 26th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) as part of an official Saudi delegation’s visit to China aimed at strengthening investment ties between the two countries. Set to take place in Xiamen from September 8 to 11, the Kingdom’s participation will bring together representatives from the public and private sectors and the broader investment ecosystem, reflecting growing Saudi-Chinese economic and investment relations and efforts to expand cooperation. A number of government and private-sector entities will participate in the Saudi pavilion, including the Ministry of Investment, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority, General Authority of Foreign Trade, Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Saudi Center for Economic Competitiveness and Business, Cultural Development Fund and Tourism Development Fund. Major Saudi companies, including Saudi Aramco, ACWA, SABIC and Alat, will also participate. The Saudi pavilion will showcase the Kingdom’s investment, commercial and industrial opportunities and projects, as well as incentives, enablers and services available to investors. It will also highlight Saudi tourism and culture through accompanying activities and host meetings, sessions and investment events bringing together Saudi and Chinese officials, business leaders and investors. Saudi Assistant Minister of Investment Ibrahim Al-Mubarak is leading the Kingdom’s public and private-sector delegation on behalf of Minister of Investment Fahad bin Abduljalil Al-Saif during an official visit to China from September 6 to 12. Its agenda includes meetings with senior officials, business leaders and investors to explore joint investment opportunities in priority sectors, including financial services, industry, communications and technology, energy, real estate and infrastructure, transportation and logistics.
