PARIS — The Saudi Ministry of Defense and the French Ministry of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs signed a Declaration of Intent to strengthen the defense partnership between the two countries. Witnessed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and French President Emmanuel Macron, the Declaration of Intent to Strengthen the Defense Partnership between Saudi Arabia and France was signed by Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman and French Minister of the Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Catherine Vautrin. The declaration aims to develop cooperation in defense capabilities related to modern technologies and relevant defense industries, as well as facilitate the exchange of expertise in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, training and military education. It comes as an extension of existing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and France and reflects the two countries’ commitment to joint action and the exchange of expertise in defense fields of mutual interest, strengthening national capabilities and serving their shared interests.
