JEDDAH — Thunderstorms accompanied by hail and active winds are expected over parts of the Kingdom on Tuesday, while temperatures are forecast to reach up to 46°C in some areas, according to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM). For the NCM’s rain forecast, moderate to heavy thundery rain accompanied by hail and active winds is expected to continue over parts of Jazan, Asir and Al-Baha, extending to the highlands of the Makkah and Madinah regions. Temperatures are expected to remain high over the Eastern Province, while active winds stirring up dust are forecast over parts of the central and southern regions, as well as parts of Najran. For individual cities, Riyadh is forecast to be partly cloudy with suspended dust, while Makkah and Madinah are expected to experience rain-bearing thunderclouds, active winds and blowing dust. Jeddah is forecast to be partly cloudy with active winds and suspended dust, while Dammam is expected to experience suspended dust. Abha is forecast to experience thundery rain and active winds, while Tabuk is expected to experience active winds. Buraidah is forecast to be clear to partly cloudy, while Hail is expected to be partly cloudy. Al-Baha is forecast to experience thundery rain and active winds, while Arar and Sakaka are expected to be partly cloudy. Jazan is forecast to experience thundery rain, active winds and blowing dust, while Najran is expected to experience rain-bearing thunderclouds, active winds and blowing dust.
